1. In case of emergency, only units designated by Diamond Fire Company or Slatington Fire Department will respond. 2. All prize checks will be made payable to the organization. 3. Decision of judges is FINAL. 4. Any intoxicated person in the line of march will automatically disqualify his/her company from any awards. The head of the department is responsible for his/her personnel. 5. Diamond Fire Company and Slatington Fire Department equipment and marching units are ineligible for any prizes. 6. All units must register at the Northern Lehigh School Complex between 8:00 and 11:00 AM on the day of the parade to be eligible for prizes. Truck judging will start promptly at 8:00. Parade forms at 12 Noon and moves out promptly at 1:00 PM. 7. No drilling in the line of march. This will disqualify the unit. 8. No blowing of sirens or horns or use of PA systems. This will disqualify the unit. |
9. Judging will take place throughout the parade route. 10. Prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the parade when the judges' decisions are finalized. 11. Judging will be by Delaware Valley Judges Association. 12. Special prizes may be awarded at the discretion of the Diamond Fire Company and Slatington Fire Department. 13. No throwing or handing out objects (candy, gum, etc.) from vehicles. Violators are subject to removal from the parade. 14. No vending will be permitted unless authorized by the Borough of Walnutport, Borough of Slatington, Diamond Fire Company and Slatington Fire Department. 15. No charged fire hoses or spraying of spectators before, during or after the parade. Units will be subject to removal from the parade. 16. No open alcoholic beverages are to be on board any piece of equipment or consumed in the line of march. Units will be disqualified and removed from the parade. |
17. Four County Association member organizations must be in good standing to qualify for all categories. If your company lies within the Four County area and you are NOT in good standing, then you are NOT ELIGIBLE for any prizes. 18. While all units are in parked position, all wheel chocks must be properly placed. 19. Seat belts are to be worn at all times and all riders shall be properly secured. 20. To be eligible for Best Overall, the company must have all units judged. 21. To be eligible for prizes, all units must be in service for a minimum of three months. 22. Tankers with 1000 GPM pumps or greater will automatically be placed into the Pumper/Tanker category. 23. All registration categories are at the host companies' discretion. 24. All units must complete entire parade route to be eligible for prizes. 25. All drivers must wear wristbands during the entire event. 26. No tobacco products or alcoholic beverages will be allowed on Northern Lehigh School property. |
